Success!

Grand openings to identity programs to single projects to full-throttle marketing campaigns, we make it Happen. Take a look at a few of our successes.

VSA of Grand Rapids

VSA of Grand Rapids / VSA Arts

Problem:
VSA (Very Special Arts) is a non-profit org with a non-identity. Awareness is very low. And if you don't know about an organization how can you donate or volunteer for it.

Solution:
Happen captured what VSA does in four simple words: "Disabling Disabilities with Art." And created the painted hand brand image of VSA. The hands are the reflection of VSA's belief that everyone has a unique, beautiful sprit and that the arts give everyone the ability to express themselves. They also give VSA a distinct visual identity, fit the Michigan mitt clichˇ and enhance the "Give Us a Hand" call to action.

Implementation:
Happen developed new identity materials, including: letterhead and envelopes, a fund development brochure, business cards and organizational fact sheets.

The public phase of the campaign, kicked off with nine billboards around greater Grand Rapids and launching of VSA's new website. Moving billboards on RAPID busses, web-based advertising, community exhibits and storefront posters followed. See examples below.

We made it Happen:
Media coverage increased 600%. Volunteers increased 400%. Donations increased 5% in the tough economic year of 2008. VSA Website traffic increased to 14,525 hits over a ten month period. VSA hands campaign generated more than 6,253,000 impressions in 2008.

"We are 1000% more recognizable now." Michelle Suchovsky, VSA Executive Director.

Grand River Bank

Grand River Bank

Problem:
Grand River Bank opened for business July 2009. No brand awareness, no core positioning. But also no toxic asset debts.

Solution:
Happen developed the "Powering Small Buisiness" campaign to create a distinctive and profitable niche market position for GRB that was both cohesive with the bank's investor partners and targeted to emerging West Michigan business. The campaign addressed the financial need of area small businesses.

Implementation:
Happen helped kick off the grand opening with a corporate image brochure, newspaper and outdoor advertising, and coordinated the existing website design. See examples below.

We made it Happen:
Grand River Bank has been overwhelemed with new accounts to date and Happen hopes it continues.
